SSL UF1 USB DAW Controller

The UF1 is the ultimate single-fader controller that optimises your in-the-box productions with the legendary SSL workflow and high-quality controls - a motorised 100 mm fader, two high-resolution colour displays, durable RGB rubber buttons with a soft feel and a weighted jog wheel, all in a robust metal housing with a premium look. With the UF1 you have complete control over pans, sends, plug-in control, can customise 46 softkeys to suit your workflow and control up to three DAWs simultaneously. The clear and insightful visual feedback, intuitive control and deep integration are achieved not least through the included SSL Meter plug-in and SSL 360° software. All of this takes the UF1 and the SSL Eco system to a level never before seen at this size.

The UF1 has DAW profiles for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, LUNA and Pyramix. High-quality transport buttons and a weighted jog/scrub wheel make working comfortable, fast and efficient. Secondary transport buttons can be customised to key workflow button combinations, such as Loop On/Off and Click on Track On/Off. Or press the Shift key to quickly access DAW automation modes. The premium 100 mm motorised SSL fader provides precise control when writing automation and, of course, fine-tuning track volume in recording and mixing sessions. The UF1's two high-resolution displays provide detailed visual feedback on DAW track names, parameters, time display, the SSL meter plug-in and 360°-capable channel strips in the SSL plug-in mixer. Control SSL channel strip plug-ins directly from the UF1. The EQ curve of the plug-in is shown on the large display and gate/compression activity on the small display. The large, gridded encoder allows channel banking, mouse wheel emulation (focus mode) and volume control.

In addition to comprehensive DAW control, every UF1 purchase includes a perpetual licence for the SSL Meter plug-in (worth €99.99). The Meter plug-in is visualised on the large 4.3-inch display and controlled directly from the UF1 interface or the SSL 360° plug-in mixer. The meter plug-in includes important measurement tools, including peak and RMS levels, K-system, stereo balance, phase correlation bars, Lissajous phasescopes, 31-band RTA, VU and PPM metering.

The UF1 can be used alone or in combination with UF8 for even deeper SSL-DAW control. UF1 is also the perfect hardware extension for the UC1 SSL plug-in controller, giving you fader control and easy access to SSL 360°-enabled channel strip parameters as well as visual feedback of EQ curves.
