BiG SiX is the realisation of feedback from artists, producers and sound engineers. After its little brother SiX, BiG SiX represents the next level of what is technically feasible in terms of quality, function and format. This highly professional desktop mixer is suitable for ambitious studio recordings, post-production, stage mixing or podcasting and can realise 18-channel stereo SuperAnalogue summing, while the four mono and four stereo channels are packed with SSL history and impress with clever details that you would otherwise only find on large studio mixing consoles: A slimmed-down version of the G-Series Bus Compressor, dynamics and EQ circuits from the legendary 4000E console series and official faders with high resolution in the preferred control range. The professional display instruments and extensive monitoring options, which include two independent headphone sections and the LMC+ Listen Mic Compressor, ensure relaxed working. Last but not least, SSL has already integrated the highlight and one of the most important components of your hybrid studio into the BiG SiX: the 16-channel USB-C interface with high-quality 96kHz/24bit AD/DA conversion. The converters are tuned to 0 dBFS=24 dBu for optimum utilisation of the dynamic range and can be switched pre- or post-fader for recording in each channel. For mixing, you can route the USB returns to the individual channels at the touch of a button. And the variable B-Bus/mute circuit makes overdubs a breeze.
