This preamp module brings the patented VHD technology from the SSL flagship "Duality" to the API500 series format. On the one hand, the preamp delivers ultra-clean SSL SuperAnalogue Recordings with up to +75 dB gain. Alternatively, the VHD system patented by Solid State Logic can be switched on, which adds second and third degree harmonic overdrive. Everything is possible here, from warm tube sounds to trashy grunge sounds.

This new "+" version of the 500 VHD module offers inputs on both the front and rear. With a total of four different impedance settings, this versatile preamp can also be used as a DI box for a wide range of instruments.

In "MF Hi Q" mode, the Q factor of the mid-band is increased or the filter quality is reduced.
