The Solton Acoustic aart SUB 18 A is a powerful, active 18-inch front-firing subwoofer, specially designed for the rigours of professional use. With an impressive peak power output of 2,400 watts and a maximum sound pressure level of 134 dB, this bass-reflex subwoofer delivers exactly that extra bit of volume and headroom where smaller 15-inch systems have already reached their limits. It is the ideal foundation for mobile DJs, live bands and professional fixed installations in clubs or event venues.
At its acoustic heart is an extremely long-throw 18-inch woofer with a massive 4-inch voice coil, housed in an aerodynamically optimised reflex enclosure made from 15 mm birch plywood. The result is a clean, precise and uncompromising bass response down to 33 Hz. Thanks to the integrated, variable crossover (80–200 Hz) and the phase switch, the subwoofer can be easily adapted to existing top boxes, whilst the built-in limiter reliably protects the system even at maximum volumes.
Despite its enormous power, the 43 kg subwoofer remains easy to handle thanks to two ergonomic carrying handles. Mounting points on the sides accommodate optional transport castors, making transport a breeze.
A durable polyurethane finish and a sturdy front grille with acoustic foam ensure that this powerhouse remains in pristine condition, both visually and technically, even after numerous gigs on the road.
