What distinguishes the Super 55 from the classic 55SH? The only thing the modern Super 55 and the classic 55SH have in common is their external design with the chrome-plated cast housing. Modern microphone technology is used in the Super 55. The result is a modern sound, maximum security against feedback and reduced handling noise.
How does the Super 55 sound? The high-quality dynamic capsule of the Super 55 delivers a sound that corresponds to the top level of the Beta 58A. This means a powerful and present sound. Even without EQ settings on the mixing console, it cuts through excellently in the band mix. The neodymium magnet and the high sensitivity output voltage that the microphone produces at a certain sound pressure. Glossary ensure high output levels and clear, brilliant highs. The consistent supercardioid polar pattern provides maximum protection against feedback. Like all Shure products, the Super 55 has an extremely robust design and can easily withstand the rough and tumble of the stage.
