The "Prologue" mouthpiece was designed by the SELMER development team in Paris with their high level of expertise. It is easy to play in all registers and is unrivalled in terms of emission and resonance in this price category.

These qualities and the attractive price make it the best choice for beginners and young saxophonists.

The quality of the mouthpiece is also determined by the TPE material chosen by SELMER - a thermoplastic polymer. This elastomer has very good acoustic properties, similar to the ebonite of SELMER mouthpieces.

The Prologue has a 1.55 mm mouthpiece opening, a 24 mm mouthpiece length and, like the world-famous S 80 mouthpiece, a square chamber. It is fitted with a Prologue reed screw and a capsule as standard.
