Building on the renowned sE8 small-diaphragm condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern, sE is now proud to present a version with a supercardioid polar pattern. Featuring the same sophisticated capsule backplate design and true condenser technology, the sE8 Supercardioid delivers authentic, transparent sound quality that is second to none. With the lowest self-noise and highest sound pressure level handling capacity in its class, the sE8 Supercardioid is the ideal choice for demanding applications where a focused polar pattern and excellent off-axis rejection are essential – from close-miking drums and percussion to acoustic guitars, orchestral instruments and other solo sound sources. Each microphone is hand-built at sE’s own factory, whilst each matched pair is carefully selected from hundreds of individual microphones to ensure the highest levels of consistency and performance.
