The Harp Blaster HB52 dynamic harmonica microphone is the result of a co-operation between HOHNER and sE Electronics. It was developed with the inspiring support of professional harmonica players and sets new standards for the sound of legendary vintage harmonica microphones.
Perfect for the artist's creative output, it can be held very comfortably for long periods of time and is suitable for cupping to create the typical Bues harp sound. It blends seamlessly with the artist's emotional output to maximise sound quality and musical expression.
The uncompromising design is tailored to the needs of touring professionals. The HB52 combines fantastic sound quality with optimum ease of use and maximum durability.
Compact dimensions. Big sound. Easy handling:
The HB52 is the perfect size for cupping and easy handling. It blends seamlessly with the artist's emotional output to maximise sound quality and musical expression.
Vintage sound paired with modern precision:
Inspired by the sound of legendary vintage harmonica microphones and developed in close collaboration with professional players to fulfil the essential requirements. Manufactured to state-of-the-art standards with high-quality components and robust metal parts for maximum durability.
Boutique features meet state-of-the-art manufacturing:
Handcrafted with great attention to detail in our in-house factory. The hammer finish not only looks incredibly good, it also promises maximum durability and the lustre of the polished, chrome-plated grille will last for years. The Bourns® potentiometer allows the volume to be precisely adjusted (can be deactivated if required) and the gold-plated XLR contacts ensure reliable, loss-free signal transmission.
At the heart of the Harp Blaster: the capsule:
The capsule combines sE's many years of experience in dynamic capsule design and acoustics with HOHNER's accumulated harmonica expertise of over 160 years. The sensitive capsule responds immediately to hand position and musical expression. Thanks to the high output level and high output impedance, amps can be driven directly without additional impedance converters or intermediate catch-up amplifiers. Proven neodymium magnets, tight manufacturing tolerances and the finest workmanship ensure outstanding sensitivity and first-class sound quality. In contrast to ceramic or piezo transducers, the dynamic capsule is insensitive to impacts on hard surfaces. It withstands harsh environmental conditions and retains its sound quality for years.
Full metal housing - no sensitive plastic parts:
The highly resistant die-cast zinc alloy is designed for years of stage use. The corrosion-free and deformation-proof material, together with the finishing, promises absolute reliability. The all-metal housing is manufactured to the highest standards and has no plastic parts. The microphone is extremely robust. You can drop it, kick it and/or hammer nails into it.
