A DI in a class of its own:
The sE DM3 is an active inline DI with Ultra-HiZ input and an impressively compact design - engineered to always get the best out of instruments! Based on the proven DYNAMITE technology also used in the DM1 and DM2, the DM3 reinvents the active inline DI with a phenomenally low-noise design. Its Ultra-HiZ input and dedicated Class A output amplifier preserve the individual sonic character of the instrument with pristine detail. It is ideal for sources such as vintage electric guitar/bass pickups, piezo-equipped acoustic instruments and high-output sources such as keyboards, synthesisers, drum machines and laptops, to name but a few.
Thanks to its enormous headroom and switchable attenuator, the DM3 can handle the roaring power of a 10,000-watt solid-state amplifier. Its three-position ground lift switch has a unique "on+" setting that effectively reduces not only hum but also unwanted bleed. With a lockable 1/4" input jack, the DM3 provides a secure connection in the most demanding, hectic live or recording environments. With its rugged all-metal housing and space-saving inline form factor, the DM3 is not a box, but rather a compact, round all-rounder (pun intended). It's the key to great sound!
Ultra-HiZ input to get the best out of the instrument:
The DM3 has an astonishingly high input impedance of 10 megaohms, so that the individual sound character of an instrument is preserved - with virtually no load. The proven ultra-low noise technology from the inline preamps of the Dynamite series ensures maximum signal quality even with pickups with low output power.
Massive headroom for even the loudest instruments:
The DM3 is designed to handle the highest output levels of even the hottest active pickups, keyboards, drum machines, synthesisers and laptops, to name but a few sources. The DM3 can easily handle the roaring power of a 10,000 watt amplifier (285 Vrms or 805 Vp-p)! If the signal is too hot, the built-in recessed attenuation switch can attenuate the input signal by 15 or 30 dB to match any input load.
A new standard for the ground lift switch:
The DM3's recessed three-stage ground lift switch not only reduces unwanted hum, but also noise and high-frequency interference. The perfect setting for the cleanest possible signal can be easily selected, whether in the studio, when recording at home, on stage at a concert or in a church service.
Lockable 1/4" input socket:
The show must go on - and with a lockable 1/4" socket, this is guaranteed! The DM3's lockable switch is ideal for any environment and ensures that the signal is protected from accidental unplugging. However, the locking mechanism can also be deactivated if desired.
Dedicated Class A output buffer amplifier and high-quality workmanship:
State-of-the-art electronics ensure the lowest noise in its class, and the proven Class A design prevents distortion from being added to the signal through the zero crossing. The DM3 buffers the signal regardless of load impedance or cable length, ensuring a powerful, clean and consistent signal every time. And it comes with an elegant finish that will last for years.
Slim, discreet all-metal housing and gold XLR connectors:
The DM3's all-metal design, high-quality manufacturing standards, robust construction and gold-plated XLR connectors ensure a road-ready design and a reliable, loss-free signal in an exceptionally compact form factor. The DM3 can be connected directly to interfaces, mixing consoles, stage boxes or any standard XLR input without the need for an additional cable. It's compact enough to fit in a pocket or hang from the included sE 1/4" plug keychain, so you can take great sound with you wherever you go.
