The Rohema Carbon Rods consist of 9 high-quality carbon fibre rods arranged in a circle around a core of lightweight spruce wood. The combination of these materials reduces the overall weight. Weighing around 55 grams and with a handle diameter of 14.7 millimetres, the Rohema Carbon Rods lie between standard 5A and 5B hickory drumsticks. The honeycomb surface of the plastic handle ensures optimum grip.
The use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic makes the rods much more durable than other wooden versions. The rebound is significantly higher, the cymbal sound is richer in overtones and the sidestick is crisper and more concise. Compared to classic rods, the volume reduction and the typical percussive sound are somewhat less pronounced.
The ROHEMA carbon rods are a real alternative for anyone who has previously found rods to have a cymbal sound that is too muffled, too little rebound and too short a shelf life.
