The SC4 is a high quality shielded adapter for connecting a microphone with a 3.5mm output to the TRRS socket of a smartphone or tablet. It is suitable for users who want to connect their RØDE VideoMic to their iPhone and record using the RØDE Rec app (iOS). The gold plated contacts are colour coded: Grey indicates the TRRS output. Although the SC4 was originally designed for an iPhone or iPad, it is also suitable for many Android-based devices. Although you can connect stereo microphones to the SC4, the channels are combined into a mono signal for compatibility with the TRRS input.
