The RØDE Lavalier is a discreet, broadcast-quality clip-on microphone for all conceivable applications. The lavalier's low self-noise, practical omnidirectional pattern and unobtrusive design make it the ideal microphone for film, television, video, theatre, houses of worship and any other situation where the speaker should be heard but the microphone should be hidden from view. A 1.2m long shielded cable with Kevlar® reinforcement is used for the connection, which can withstand a pulling force of up to 10kg without complaint. Thanks to the included fur windscreen, the microphone can also be used outdoors. Also included are clips for discreet cable routing without restricting the user's freedom of movement. The unbreakable and waterproof transport box provides secure protection for the microphone as well as the cable, clips and other accessories. To maximise flexibility, RØDE has developed a MiCon™ connection system that allows the lavalier to be connected to a wide range of wireless systems, mixing consoles, cameras and field recorders. The RØDE Lavalier is manufactured in Australia and comes with an innovative 5-year warranty from RØDE Microphones: 12 months full warranty and after-sales warranty of a replacement microphone for only US$99 during the extended warranty period.
