The ADI-2 Pro EX represents the next stage in the development of RME’s all-in-one reference converter concept. Building on
the proven design of the ADI-2 Pro FS R Black Edition, the new ADI-2 Pro EX offers professional users the familiar, comprehensive functionality of its predecessor, but now with a redesigned chassis, improved output power and enhanced, comprehensive hardware protection.
Like the ADI-2 Pro, the ADI-2 Pro EX combines several devices in one: a high-end AD/DA converter in professional studio quality, a dual headphone amplifier, a multi-format converter (AES, SPDIF, ADAT) with monitoring capability, a DSD recording and playback converter, and an AD/DA front-end for audio measurements with a sample rate of up to 768 kHz. This makes the new ADI-2 Pro EX one of the most versatile converters on the market.
