The Radial Mix 2:1 is a passive two-channel mixer that allows two audio channels to be effortlessly summed into a single mono signal. With its compact format and passive circuitry, the Mix 2:1 is ideal for musicians, sound engineers and content creators looking for a reliable and straightforward way to combine multiple signals.
Versatile connection options
The Radial Mix 2:1 is equipped with two balanced inputs that support both XLR and 6.35 mm TRS jack sockets. This makes it easy to connect microphone or line level signals. The sum output is via a balanced XLR connection, which can be fed directly into mixing consoles, audio interfaces or active loudspeakers.
In addition, the Mix 2:1 has independent level controls for both inputs, which can be used to adjust the volume of the signals individually. This makes it easy to create a balanced relationship between different audio sources. For situations in which the levels are already set correctly at the signal source, the level bypass switch can be activated. This bypasses the internal level controls and sums both signals directly and unchanged. This ensures that the original volume balance is retained and accidental changes to the rotary controls are ruled out.
Practical functions for everyday use
The Mix 2:1 has a 180° phase reverse switch for Input 2, which is particularly useful when using two microphones that record the same signal with inverted phase, such as snare top and bottom miking. A simple push of a button corrects phase problems and ensures a coherent sound image.
In addition, the integrated ground lift switch helps to eliminate hum and noise caused by ground loops - a common problem when connecting multiple devices.
Robust construction for professional requirements
Made from a 14-gauge steel housing with a durable powder coating, the Radial Mix 2:1 is optimally equipped to withstand the rigours of everyday touring. The non-slip underside provides both electrical and mechanical insulation so that the mixer remains securely in place.
As the Mix 2:1 works passively, it does not require a power supply - another plus point for mobile setups and space-saving installations.
