The HotShot 48V is a condenser microphone switch that allows a performer to power their vocal microphone and instantly switch it between the FOH and the stage monitor system in order to communicate with other band members or technicians. Bright LED indicators show which output is active, and the footswitch itself can be configured for either a latching or momentary function. A microcontroller with a time delay, combined with transformer-coupled XLR connectors, ensures completely silent operation without any audible pops or clicks when switching, even when amplified through a large PA system. Although the HotShot 48V was specifically designed for switching between condenser microphone outputs, it works just as well with dynamic microphones. Power is supplied via a 9 V mains adaptor (included) or via standard multi-output pedalboard power supplies.
