Playtron, the musical instrument that transforms skin, water, plants and more into sound.

This portable midi controller can be connected and played with up to 16 objects simultaneously. The sound also changes depending on the touch surface and intensity.

Connected to a DAW via a USB cable, software instruments can be controlled, but (desktop) synthesisers can also be connected directly.

Playtron reacts like any other MIDI controller, without any noticeable latency. The unique playing style allows users to immerse themselves in a new musical world and expand their horizons.

Playtronica's story began in early 2013, when the young collective organised music workshops for children and performed at music and science festivals. in 2016, they launched Playtron, which allows you to play on any object that conducts electricity, like a piano keyboard. In 2018, a second device was released, TouchMe, which could now also be used to make music on skin. Playtronica is both a community and a startup, made up of artists and engineers from different walks of life spread across the globe. They do everything from building musical devices to producing interactive events and installations - projects that can take hours or years to complete. The Playtronica project has taken the collective around the world - from the Centre Pompidou in Paris to the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Playtronica also regularly collaborates on engagement and interaction projects with brands such as Nike, Boeing, Mercedes Benz Google, Ikea and many others.
