The DDJ-XP2 opens up completely new possibilities. Whether you're playing with rekordbox dj or Serato DJ Pro, the revamped controller lets you get the most out of the new features of the latest version of both DJ programmes - launched today. The DDJ-XP2 offers even more functionality than the popular DDJ-XP1 and the same solid build quality and intuitive layout of the original.
It's a pure joy to let your fingers fly over the 32 robust and incredibly responsive multi-colour performance pads (16 on each deck). The sturdy construction of the DDJ-XP2 - with rubber edging for a non-slip stand - ensures reliable use, even under tough conditions. With the sensitive control of Key-Shift and Key-Sync, both features in one of the compatible applications, completely new creative possibilities open up. By moving your finger over the Slide FX touch strips, selected effects can be applied very dynamically.
With the DDJ-XP2, powerful new pad modes are available in rekordbox dj and Serato DJ Pro. Of particular interest is the transport mode, which assigns transport commands such as play, pause, cue and pitch up/down to the performance pads. For the first time, 16 pads can now be used to control a mode in Serato DJ Pro - previously this was only possible with up to eight pads in each mode.
Anyone who has ever worked with the DJM-S9 will be pleased to know that the looping section in the DDJ-XP2 has been adopted from Pioneer DJ's flagship scratch mixer. Small upgrade, big effect: the performance immediately feels familiar and comfortable.
Another new feature is Silent Cue in Serato DJ Pro, which works in the same way as in rekordbox dvs (licence included). This allows you to cue tracks silently even with open faders on the mixer and trigger them immediately from hot cue points.
The DDJ-XP2 will be available from October 2019 for a recommended retail price of €329. To use the DJ controller with rekordbox dj/dvs, an update to the latest version of the software [link] and activation of the supplied licence key worth €248 are required. A subscription or licence key is required to activate Serato DJ Pro. It is also essential to update to the latest version just released. Serato DVS is also supported (expansion pack sold separately).
