The Palmer ORBIT 11 is an active 3-way coaxial studio monitor for mixing, mastering, post-production, sound design, broadcasting and content creation. The coaxial true point source design combines a 6.5″ midrange driver and a 1″ tweeter on a common acoustic axis and, with its consistent dispersion pattern of 120° × 120°, ensures stable sound imaging and reliable balance throughout the listening area.
The controlled, even dispersion supports reliable balance and translation, while the cardioid front baffle reduces rear sound energy and therefore room reflections.
The low frequencies are handled by two impulse-compensated 8″ woofers in a sealed die-cast aluminium cabinet with 5 to 16 mm wall thickness, which counteracts mechanical forces, minimises cabinet vibrations and enables impressively deep bass reproduction down to 28 Hz.
The internal processing with 96 kHz/24-bit and FIR filtering ensures linear-phase behaviour and temporal coherence of the drivers.
For quick setup, the control panel on the top provides direct access to the input pad, the 3-band EQ, the table and wall presets and an 80 Hz high-pass filter. Connection options include a balanced XLR line input and AES3 via XLR as well as an AES3 Thru output for daisy-chaining.
Thanks to its threaded mounting points with M8 eyebolt and compatibility with the GSPWMBS20B tilt and swivel gravity mount, the ORBIT 11 can be securely mounted to the wall or ceiling.
The ORBIT 11 is the result of acoustic precision and German engineering. Its temporally coherent reproduction and extended low-frequency range make it a reliable monitor - made for those who listen.
