These footswitch caps have been designed to make it even easier to activate your effects pedals (10 mm diameter switches).
Conventional footswitches are sometimes small or difficult to reach on the pedals. These coloured plastic caps now offer a larger contact surface and also grip better on the materials of standard shoe soles.
Pedal effects in particular, such as loopers or tap-tempos, which need to be activated precisely in time with the rhythm, can be operated with much greater accuracy thanks to the caps.
The extremely popular NUX NST1 caps are also often used simply as a visual cue for your favourite effect or the most important switch on larger effects pedals. A trend that makes perfect sense!
