Building on the innovative foundations of Novation Peak, Summit is a 16-voice synthesiser with three oscillators per voice, aimed at professional and semi-professional musicians looking for an inspiring and powerful instrument for live and studio use. In fact, Summit gives you the power of two Peaks, as you can split two completely independent patches on the keyboard or arrange them in layers to switch between them in an instant. In addition, the layout of the Peak has been expanded so that many hidden controls and functions are accessible directly from the front panel - FM routing, LFOs 3 and 4, all arpeggiator parameters and much more - and of course the pitch and mod wheels. Summit also comes with numerous new filter options and an audio input for processing external sources with its reverb, chorus and delay effects. At the heart of Summit are three digital New Oxford oscillators per voice, which are based on the FPGA chip (Field Programmable Gate Array). The synthesiser also generates authentic analogue-style waveforms with incredibly high resolution, facilitating FM and wavetable synthesis and enabling rich, complex and highly textured raw sounds. Each voice plays a true stereo signal path of doubled analogue filters, three analogue distortion stages and analogue VCAs, while you can polish and bring your patches to life with a variety of modulation assignment options and three versatile effects.
Firmware v2.0 brings a host of new and creative features that provide Summit and Peak owners with powerful tools to customise their sound.
