The S3H builds on the success of ADAM Audio's best-known studio monitors, the S3A and S3X-H, and also sets new standards in terms of technical innovation in the field of electro-acoustics.The two 7-inch bass woofers, equipped with new ELE and SMA technology, each driven by powerful, separate 500 W Class-D amplifiers, offer perfect reproduction of frequencies down to 32 Hz. ADAM Audio's newly developed DCH midrange driver, a 4-inch hybrid of dome and cone midrange drivers, is powered by a 300 W Class-D amplifier and is responsible for frequencies between 250 Hz and 3 kHz. The state-of-the-art hybrid design combines the sonic advantages of dome and cone drivers in a unique way and ensures excellent dispersion in the often critical mid-frequency range. The frequencies above 3 kHz are handled by the newly developed S-ART tweeter, which is elaborately handcrafted in Berlin.
