A synth that really moves

NINA’s motorised controls display the current parameter values precisely at all times – and move automatically when loading presets or sequences. This creates a completely new form of interaction between musician and instrument.

The Melbourne Instruments NINA is an exceptional polyphonic analogue synthesiser that combines classic sound generation with innovative technology. With 12 voices, multitimbral capabilities and a powerful synth engine, the NINA is clearly aimed at discerning sound designers, producers and live performers.

At the heart of the synthesiser lies a combination of analogue oscillators, wavetable synthesis and a distinctive ladder filter. This enables the NINA to cover an extremely wide sonic spectrum – from warm vintage sounds to modern, complex textures. Particularly noteworthy are the motorised controls: they move automatically when loading presets or working in the sequencer, enabling a completely new form of direct, visual control.

With its polyphonic, polyrhythmic sequencer and four independent tracks, the NINA is perfect for creative live performances and complex pattern structures. At the same time, the extensive modulation matrix allows for in-depth sound design at a professional level.

With features such as patch morphing, multi-timbrality and the combination of analogue warmth and digital flexibility, the NINA is not a classic synthesiser, but a powerful production and performance platform for modern electronic music.
