The LCT 940 has the potential to revolutionise established ways of working in the modern studio. Sound engineers and recording artists usually rely on a variety of microphones to get the best out of every recording. But changing microphones during a session not only takes time, it also interrupts the creative flow. The flagship of the Authentica series will help sound engineers and artists alike to respond to changing demands with the greatest possible flexibility and to achieve the desired character of a recording more easily and quickly.
The LCT 940 combines for the first time the specific sound characteristics of a high-quality FET large diaphragm condenser microphone with those of a tube microphone in a single housing. These two technologies are each designed as a separate amplifier path and work independently of each other. The different sonic characteristics can be mixed continuously and thus enable an infinite creative variety for sound engineers and artists.
The LCT 940 also offers nine directional characteristics, four-stage switchable high-pass filters and pre-attenuation stages. Automatic attenuation and clipping history round off the impressive list of innovative features.
This unique combination of features makes the LCT 940 a universal tool for professional recording artists who are satisfied with nothing less than absolute perfection and maximum versatility.
