Temple Audio designed the STUDIO MOD primarily as a re-amp device for receiving a balanced signal from your recording interface. This has evolved into much more! The active input buffer ensures the integrity of the signal and the DI provides a balanced XLR output for recording a high quality dry sound that is later used for re-recording.With STUDIO MOD, your customers can record their guitar dry and later decide on the perfect amp, pedal settings and microphone placement. This makes recording stress-free and non-binding.The STUDIO MOD is equipped with a first-class operational amplifier and offers a low-impedance and balanced output for clean and clear recordings.

Laptops and PCs are ubiquitoustools in AV technology. Until now, music or the sound embedded inpresentationshasmainlybeen tapped from the laptop or PC viathe 3.5 mm mini jack socket. The cables are connected directly to a mixing console or, at best, connected to the sound system with a transformertransformer or a DI box viaXLR cables.Frequentproblems with this configuration areinterference signalssuch as hum loops orthe interference known as "buzzing" from PC power supplies and hard drives (especially on laptops), as well as the familiar "crackling" and "cracking" at the mini jack socket or in the adapter cable. External sound cards from the studio sector are usually expensive, have more functions than they need and areöand are often difficult to install.

If you connect a laptop to a sound system, the sound often leaves a lot to be desired. There is humming and rumbling, and sometimes there is also a loss of sound in the bass and treble. The Palmer naab, a two-channel media DI box, provides a reliable remedy.Using switches for ground lift and soft lift as well as the internal isolating transformers, hum loops can be prevented. The transformers also ensure optimum level and impedance matching. The result is clean, brilliant sound without noise.The Palmer naab is two-channel, but can be switched to mono if required, which is often very useful in practice so that a signal is not only heard on one side of the sound system. The mono sum signal is then available at both XLR outputs simultaneously; the naab can therefore also be used as a split box.There is a wide range of connections on the input side: 2 x 6.3 mm jack sockets, which can be balanced or unbalanced, as well as 2x RCA and 1x mini jack (stereo). This eliminates the need for error-prone adapter cables - which you always forget to take with you anyway! The outputs are designed as professional XLR sockets; their balanced wiring also allows longer cable runs without interference.Due to its passive operation, the Palmer naab does not require a power supply; this makes it extremely fail-safe, especially as the robust metal housing can take a beating.
