The Laney IRF60-112 is a fully analogue 60-watt combo amplifier with two completely independent channels, a bespoke 12-inch HH1260 speaker, Laney Advanced Impulse Response (LA·IR) technology for the XLR direct output, USB-C audio input/output and app control via USB. It is the natural step up from the IRF60-110 for musicians who require channel switching and direct recording – in a combo with an analogue signal path that is significantly more affordable than digital modelling alternatives in the same price bracket.
The IRF60-112 leaves behind the digital noise and AI-induced inconsistencies that plague so many other amplifiers, whilst retaining a purely analogue signal path – with the dynamic playing feel and touch-sensitive response that musicians associate with high-quality valve amplification.
The IRF60-112’s dual-channel architecture gives musicians two truly distinct tones. Channel 1’s ASYM mode uses asymmetric clipping to deliver a warm, organic break-up reminiscent of vintage tube stages. CLEAN provides flawless headroom and an extended dynamic range – the ideal platform for pedals and effects. SYM mode offers symmetrical clipping with more even harmonic saturation, cutting through the band mix with authority. Channel 2 completely changes the character: Bright mode opens up the upper frequencies and adds presence for leads and single-coil pickups; Flat remains balanced and full-range; whilst Dark rolls off the highs for a warmer, rounder tone suited to jazz voicings and humbucker-equipped instruments.
Two channels. Six modes. One analogue signal path. Everything the IRF60-112 does, it does without a single digital algorithm in the chain.
