The Nu:Tekt NTS-4 marks the arrival of a fully-fledged, DIY performance mixer in KORG’s popular DIY range.
Thanks to its mini-jack inputs, it is ideal for use with other devices in the NTS series, such as the NTS-1 mkII Synthesiser Kit or the NTS-3 kaoss pad kit, the volca series, and a wide range of other compact sound generators and effects units from other manufacturers. On the output side, however, this handy mixer features standard 6.3 mm jack sockets, allowing it to be seamlessly integrated into professional production and live performance set-ups.
With two mono and four stereo channels, it is ideally suited to electronic set-ups and offers ample connection options even for more complex configurations. Each channel has its own SEND control for the high-quality internal digital effects, and a dedicated stereo FX loop is available for routing external effects units. Thanks to a second effects processor, the stereo mix can also be enhanced with one of ten selectable total effects. In addition to dedicated mute buttons, each channel also features a CUE function, allowing its signal to be previewed on headphones without being routed to the master mix – an invaluable feature, particularly for live performances!
As the NTS-4 mixer also features a built-in USB audio interface, it can be used very easily for digital recording on a computer or smart device. Furthermore, MIDI signals received via USB can be output via a separate mini-jack socket, allowing you, for example, to synchronise connected hardware to the DAW’s tempo.
Last but not least, thanks to internal switches, the two mono inputs can be used at Eurorack level rather than line level, which significantly expands the NTS-4’s range of applications once again.
