Full analogue power! Technically 1:1 with the 1978 MS-20, at 86% of the original size, the new MS-20 mini shows where it's at in 2013!
With the proven 2VCO / 2VCA / 2VCF / 2EG / 1LFO structure, the MS-20 mini reproduces every detail of the original, right down to the packaging, the original-style manual, the patch panel templates and the patch cables. A real synth with soul and a fat sound at an affordable price. introduced in 1978, the monophonic MS-20 synthesiser is still in high demand today thanks to its fat, robust sound, powerful, iconic analogue filters and flexible patching options. The typical MS-20 sounds of the original, the KORG MS-20 plug-in synthesiser of the Legacy Collection and the iMS-20 app for the iPad, have now delighted more than 300,000 users. Now the sounds of the MS-20 have been given a new lease of life in the MS-20 mini. The same engineers who developed the MS-20 in 1978 have now faithfully reproduced its circuitry and reduced its physical format to 86% of its original size, without changing the typical and timeless look of the original or sacrificing any details! The MS-20 mini fascinates today with absolutely authentic analogue synthesizer sounds of its ancestor. >Comments from the developers To mark KORG's 50th anniversary, we have once again taken a closer look at an analogue synth, placing particular emphasis on the fluid parameter settings that characterise analogue synthesizers. The original specifications of the MS-20 were also to be completely retained. The analogue circuits we developed 35 years ago still deliver the same unbeatable, powerful sound, from the deepest basses to the most extreme highs. To experience the depth of the MS-20 mini, you have to play it yourself!
