The KR-11 from Korg is the ideal companion for practising, jamming and live performances. Its clearly laid out control panel allows you to select the right rhythms in just a few seconds, giving every performance the right groove. The prepared patterns are organised in corresponding style categories, which makes searching much easier. The rhythms can be played back either via the headphone/line output or the integrated loudspeaker. Thanks to Korg's own Acoustage Bass technology, even deep bass drums sound surprisingly authentic and powerful despite the compact size of the device. A tap tempo function is available for quick and easy tempo input, and the swing function can be used to further refine the feel of the grooves. To make live performances even more interesting, up to two optional footswitches can be connected to the KR-11 to create fill-ins and seamless pattern transitions or to start and stop the rhythm. 126 rhythm patterns from a wide variety of musical styles are already prepared ex works, with rhythms available not only in 4/4, but also in 3/4, 5/4 and 7/8. And if a desired rhythm is missing, you can easily play it in yourself using the 16 velocity-sensitive pads and save it in one of 14 user slots. Of course, these drum pads are also ideal for live finger drumming, whereby additional sounds such as bass drum and hi-hat can be played via the two optional footswitches. The compact KR-11 can be powered either by an optional mains adapter or 4 AA batteries (not included) and can therefore be used practically anywhere, even if there is no power socket nearby.
