iConnectivity today announces the highly anticipated successor to the industry standard PlayAUDIO1U: PlayAUDIO2U. Building on the excellent reputation of customised touring solutions for live performances, the PlayAUDIO2U sets new standards for professional touring setups with a powerful configuration of 24 balanced XLR outputs and four high-quality, ultra-low noise microphone preamps.
In addition, the PlayAUDIO2U adopts and extends iConnectivity's proven redundancy failover protection - an essential safety solution for touring musicians, production companies and all live events where failure is not an option.
In addition to the increased number of 24 XLR outputs, the PlayAUDIO2U also integrates new, versatile concepts into iConnectivity's PlayAUDIO product range. Four first-class studio inputs are ideal for vocals, guitars, synthesisers and other instruments for live processing - naturally protected by iConnectivity's proven redundancy technology.
iConnectivity has always been known for its robust MIDI integration. With the PlayAUDIO2U, the manufacturer now presents its first interface with integrated MIDI control via control buttons on the front panel, allowing convenient and direct control of the performance.
The physical design of the PlayAUDIO2U is perhaps its most revolutionary innovation: it combines extensive inputs and outputs as well as exceptionally high MIDI connectivity in a robust, rack-mountable 2U housing. All I/O ports are specially reinforced to withstand the rigours of daily touring - designed for direct connection to stage boxes and PA systems. Complex and fragile setups are now a thing of the past. A reliable touring rig can now be realised with a single PlayAUDIO2U in the rack.
