This new Ibanez fretless series has a specially developed piezo pickup to provide the ambitious bassist with that certain "acoustic note" in addition to the typical fretless sound! A separate volume and treble control work for this - independently of the classic active 2-band tone control (bass and treble)! This means that the piezo pickup can be precisely mixed with the volume and treble of any pickup or pickup combination or even sound completely on its own.
A small special feature at the end:
Both Soapbar pickups have their own volume control (analogue to the jazz bass principle). This means that every conceivable PU combination can be selected in terms of intensity and character.
Tip from BassAxel:
It sounds particularly nice when you combine the neck pickup with the piezo pickup. The basses are factory fitted with Daddario ECB 81 or ECB 81-5 flatwounds and sound excellent with them.

Ibanez - a bookshop makes music history
In 1908, Matsujiro Hoshino opened a bookshop in Nagoya, whose range was expanded to include musical instruments just one year later: the start of a musical future. New and further developments have characterised the Ibanez range since 2000 and are characteristic of the constantly changing product range. Again and again, Ibanez demonstrates a wealth of ideas and creativity with new innovations. Today, Hoshino is still based in Nagoya, where the success story began over 100 years ago with a bookshop. Ibanez has always managed to capture the spirit of the times, inspiring and influencing musicians. Over many decades, the initial copies developed into an independent guitar brand that has grown to become an established and important player in the international music business. Whether beginner or professional, metal or jazz musician - Ibanez is sure to have the right instrument, effects and accessories for everyone
