This 4-string electric bass features a mahogany body in the stylish Soundgear design, a smooth-playing maple neck and two Ibanez Dynamix J single-coil pickups for a versatile range of tones.

Like all instruments in the Ibanez GIO series, the Ibanez GSR 180 boasts the tried-and-tested high build quality that ensures long-lasting playing pleasure. With mahogany for the body and maple for the bolt-on neck, a traditional wood combination is used, whilst the extra-slim GSR4 profile sits comfortably in the hand and allows even beginners to play the electric bass without tiring. To help players find their way around the 22 frets of the rosewood fingerboard, classic dot inlays mark the fret positions.
Versatile tone thanks to Dynamix single-coil pickups
No matter which direction your musical journey takes you with the Ibanez GSR 180 Black, with its two Ibanez Dynamix J single-coil pickups and straightforward passive circuitry, it always delivers the right bass sound. The two volume controls allow the signals from both pickups to be blended, providing a wide range of different timbres. The spectrum ranges from the dry, assertive wire sound of the bridge pickup to the abyssal yet transparent low-end punch of the middle pickup, with the passive treble control adding further versatility.
High-quality hardware
Furthermore, the Ibanez GIO GSR 180 Black impresses with its high-quality hardware, whose unrestricted functionality guarantees long-lasting playing pleasure. At the bridge, the strings are held in place by the Ibanez B10 bridge, which guarantees perfect intonation and string action thanks to four adjustable saddles. From there, the strings, with a scale length of 34 (864 mm), run towards the headstock, where they are held in place by precision die-cast tuning machines that maintain tuning reliably and for a long time.
