The Genelec 7360 is an active subwoofer from the SAM series (Smart Active Monitor). SAM means that the subwoofer can adapt to the room acoustics. This is done via a measuring microphone at the listening position and the GLM software (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager). 20 DSP filters are available, which can also be edited manually. Disturbing room influences are significantly reduced and you achieve precise low bass reproduction. Stereo and surround setups are easy to set up and control, and the bass management function allows the subwoofer to automatically take over all frequencies below the specified crossover frequency. This reduces the load on the connected speakers. You achieve a better resolution and a higher loudness of the entire system.The Genelec 7360 offers analogue inputs for surround setups up to 7.1. An AES/EBU input is available for 2.1 setups. The 9301 multichannel interface also enables setups up to 7.1 via AES/EBU.A long, aerodynamically optimised reflex tunnel is integrated into the compact housing. Manufactured in LSE design (Laminar Spiral Enclosure), it enables high levels at the lower end of the transmission range. Naturally without disturbing flow noise or distortion.

The Genelec GLM kit enables the calibration and control of studio monitors from the SAM series (Smart Active Monitor). The network interface is connected to a PC or Mac via USB. The speakers are connected via standard CAT cables (RJ45). The Genelec GLM software makes it easy to configure setups.Up to 80 speakers and subwoofers can be managed. Measurements are taken via the calibrated measuring microphone at the listening position. The AutoCal algorithm then automatically determines filter settings to compensate for room influences. Levels, delay times and the phase position to subwoofers are also adjusted. Each parameter can be edited manually. Finally, settings can be saved in the loudspeakers. If the network interface remains connected, there is access to monitor controller functions.Volume control, group switching or solo and mute functions are available directly via GLM. A wired volume control (Genelec 9310AM) or a remote control (Genelec 9101AM) are optionally available. No PC/Mac is required for use as a volume controller. A USB power supply for the network interface is sufficient.The full MIDI implementation allows the GLM software to be used as a convenient monitor controller. It offers fast and smooth control of monitors such as playback volume, activation of mutes, calling up volume presets, switching bass management on and off and switching monitor groups.
