The 8330A studio monitor from the Genelec SAM series adapts perfectly to the listening environment. Especially in small rooms, which are acoustically critical, it creates significantly better listening conditions and is automatically calibrated and controlled via the GLM software. With up to 16 fully parametric and 4 shelving filters, it drastically reduces the distorting effects of room modes. The sound image is linearised and the high resolution and transparency guarantee relaxed, analytical listening.Two Class-D power amplifiers in the stable die-cast aluminium housing deliver 50 watts each for the bass and mid-range drivers. Despite its compact dimensions, the speaker produces deep bass via the bass reflex channel. The rounded cabinet edges improve localisation and spatial imaging. And the DCW sound guide ensures linear dispersion with a wide listening zone.
Suitable subwoofers are the Genelec 7350 or 7360.
