Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Generation (Returned)

The audio interface for artists:

Set up microphones for vocals and guitar and connect them to the 2i2’s 4th-generation preamps – Scarlett’s cleanest and most detailed preamps ever, with an immense gain range of 69 dB. Plug an electric guitar into one of the 2i2’s Hi-Z instrument inputs – it feels just like a real amp. Scarlett brings Focusrite’s professional sound quality to wherever you make music.

Find your own unique sound:

For outstanding vocal and instrument tracks, Scarlett’s revamped Air mode captures the unique character of your sound and brings it to the forefront of the mix. This adds musical presence and rich harmonic saturation, just like a classic console in a high-end recording studio. Trust us, you’ll never want to record without it again.

Let Scarlett adjust your levels:

With Scarlett’s dynamic Gain Halos, you can quickly and easily set your levels for any microphone – or simply select Auto Gain and let Scarlett do the work for you. Press the button and play for ten seconds. Scarlett will adjust the perfect level for whatever you’re recording.

Turn every take into a usable recording:

Whilst you’re playing, Clip Safe is listening intently. Clip Safe monitors your levels up to 96,000 times per second – more frequently than even the best studio engineers. As soon as there’s a risk of clipping, the gain is automatically adjusted so you can lose yourself in the music without losing any of your recordings.

Capture every nuance:

Press the red button and record via 192 kHz, 24-bit converters taken directly from Focusrite’s flagship RedNet series of audio interfaces, which can be found in countless high-end studios around the world. Extract every tiny detail from your recordings without compromising on sound quality.

Now have a listen:

A specially designed headphone amplifier and an immense dynamic range set the stage for the best playback you’ve ever heard from Scarlett. Scarlett drives high-impedance headphones louder and clearer than ever before. The 2i2 features independent controls for your headphones and monitors, so you can record, mix and play back audio exactly as you like.

Loopback:

Need samples? Create your own samples using Loopback. Route stereo audio from your music applications and other software directly to your DAW via the 2i2’s virtual inputs.

It’s that simple:

Just plug it in and tell Focusrite’s Easy Start Tool how you want to use your Scarlett. Let it guide you through all the software and setup you need, including recording tips and other helpful content.
