The Body Pack XL has the same functionality as the Fischer Amps Hard Wired In Ear Belt Pack, but an additional microphone input has been integrated so that a microphone signal can be added to the incoming stereo or mono mix. The built-in low-noise microphone preamp has the standard features such as switchable 48V phantom power, a PAD switch to attenuate the input signal by 16 dB and a gain control from 0 dB to + 60 dB.
There is also a parallel-out socket for the microphone input to allow the microphone signal to be looped through. Power is supplied by a 9V battery.
The device is ideal as a compact in-ear solution, e.g. in an orchestra, if the musician wants to add his own microphone signal to the incoming in-ear signal. The device is also ideal as a technician's tool for monitoring microphone signals.
