The Fender® Jazz Bass® was launched in 1960 as a luxury model and an alternative to the P Bass®. Although it bears the word ‘Jazz’ in its name, artists from other genres are also drawn to the powerful, throaty sound produced by its two pickups. The offset body and slim neck profile are so ergonomic that bassists still love to let loose on stage with a J Bass® to this day.
