"The Hitmaker":
Nile Rodgers has written, produced and recorded numerous albums that have sold more than 500 million copies worldwide. All his hits have one central element in common: Nile's special 1960s Fender Hardtail Stratocaster® from a music shop in Miami. The name Hitmaker is no coincidence. It is one of the few guitars that is connected to its owner on the deepest level.
The Hitmaker has a 1960s-style alder body, which is slightly smaller and more contoured than the classic Strat. The Olympic White lacquer finish corresponds to the colour that Nile sprayed on itself during the early days of Chic. The one-piece maple neck in the Custom '59 profile has a fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets as well as a satin finish. A "Nile Rodgers & Chic" logo adorns the back of the headstock and the Hitmaker logo is stamped into the neck plate.
The precisely tuned Strat single coils are responsible for the funky sound of the Nile Rodgers Hitmaker, reproducing the crisp, clear "quack" and the bell-like tone of the original Hitmaker. Further details: a typical string-through-body hardtail bridge with bent steel string saddles, a shiny chrome-plated brass pickguard, Sperzel® locking tuners and white control knobs. The guitar comes with a matching vintage-style case with a Hitmaker motif embroidered on the inside and a certificate of authenticity.
