At the heart of the Fender® Custom Shop Tomatillo™ Telecaster® pickups are Alnico 2 magnets and lightly wound coils, which we have then dipped in shellac. They produce a sweet, lively and nuanced tone; clean and bell-like, with an open, dynamic response. An open-coil neck pickup rounds off the tone with a subtle hint of sparkle.
