With its sloping shoulder line, the California Deluxe Newporter™ CE plays in a relaxed and comfortable manner, whether you’re on the sofa writing songs or on stage. The cutaway ensures you can effortlessly reach beyond the body’s edge into the highest registers. Beneath the solid Sitka spruce top lies scalloped X-bracing, whilst the sides and back are made from laminated mahogany. This gives the Newporter a full, balanced and lively sound. Closed split-shaft tuners keep the tuning stable over time. The Micarta® nut and bridge insert ensure the best possible resonance transfer, whilst the phosphor bronze strings sound clear and rich from the very first note. With the integrated Fishman® CD-1 preamp, complete with tuner, you can deliver your music cleanly through an amp and PA system.
