Fender ‘Brown Panel’ amps are among the unsung heroes of the early 1960s. Back then, they bridged the gap between the raw, biting sound of the 1950s Tweed amps and the crystal-clear tone of the ‘Black Panel’ amps of the mid-1960s. The Brown Panels aren’t just somewhere in between; they have a sound character all of their own that is highly prized by guitarists.
The ’62 Deluxe amp reproduces the sound of the originals with warm, woody, clean nuances. When you crank it up, it produces a beastly overdrive. Combined with the Tube-Bias Tremolo, this results in an amp configuration that you can confidently add to your ‘what to take to a desert island’ list. Two 6V6 power tubes deliver 20 watts to the specially developed Celestion ® 12” speaker. This makes the ’62 Deluxe ideal for home studios, rehearsal rooms and smaller gigs.
