Tonverk offers eight audio tracks that can be used in different ways depending on your creative goals. Added to these are four bus tracks, three send tracks and a mix track – perfect for flexible routing and a wealth of fresh effect sounds that you can use anywhere in the unit. This opens the door to fantastic fun and limitless experimentation. And as with any adventure, the beginning is just a taste of what’s to come.
Tonverk offers a wide selection of effects – including many new ones. Plenty of modulation, extensive routing options (internal and external) and two sampling modes:
Recorder – for direct audio sampling, either externally or internally
Auto Sampler – use MIDI to automatically multi-sample your favourite instruments
There are also numerous other features, including the tried-and-tested Elektron workflow optimisations.
Machines per audio track:
SINGLE PLAYER
Play back individual WAV files (mono or stereo) polyphonically. Customise playback behaviour, set loop points and use crossfades for seamless looping – and much more.
MULTI PLAYER
Load a multisampled instrument from the Tonverk library and play it polyphonically. With the Auto Sampler, you can also create your own multisamples.
SUBTRACKS
Expand a track with 8 monophonic, multitimbral subtracks – each with its own sample, sequencer and individual parameters. 8-in-1!
MIDI
Convert the selected track into a MIDI track.

Overbridge Multistreaming
With this first version of Overbridge for Tonverk, you gain access to the Overbridge streaming functionality. This allows you to stream each track separately to your computer. This feature is primarily intended for flexible recording, mixing and further production, and not for full DAW integration.
Modulation via Velocity and Key Tracking
Tonverk’s modulation options have been expanded to include ‘Velocity’ and ‘Key Tracking’. With both functions, you can assign up to four target parameters and shape the sound in real time based on your playing style.
Velocity modulation (Velocity Mod) alters parameters based on the velocity value of your playing. Use this function to make sounds respond more dynamically and to give each note greater movement and expression. Key tracking alters parameters depending on where you play on the keyboard. High and low notes can each influence the sound differently, enabling expressive timbral changes across the entire keyboard.
Transposing Patterns by Semitones
Transpose every note in your pattern up or down by semitones using a simple keyboard shortcut. Quickly experiment with new keys and harmonic ideas without altering the original note data.
Swapping the order of effects
Easily swap the order of FX1 and FX2 on audio and bus tracks. Discover how different effect chains alter your sound without having to rebuild them from scratch.
Reload parameter page
Reload the current parameter page from its saved state – giving you another way to explore, experiment and return to the original state instantly with a single click. Make adjustments freely on a single parameter page and undo changes without affecting the rest of your sound.

In addition, there are a number of other features, improvements and bug fixes, including the ability to copy, pasting and deleting patterns without leaving the current pattern, filter and search functions in the preset menu, freely selectable MIDI channels for each track, the ability to clear the modulation macro page, and general improvements to performance, stability and the user interface.
