Tonverk offers eight audio tracks that can be used in different ways depending on your creative goals. Added to these are four bus tracks, three send tracks and a mix track – perfect for flexible routing and a wealth of fresh effect sounds that you can use anywhere within the unit. This opens the door to fantastic fun and limitless experimentation. And as with any adventure, the beginning is just a taste of what’s to come.
Tonverk offers a wide selection of effects – including many new ones. Plenty of modulation, extensive routing options (internal and external) and two sampling modes:
Recorder – for direct audio sampling, either externally or internally
Auto Sampler – use MIDI to automatically multi-sample your favourite instruments
There are also numerous other features, including the tried-and-tested Elektron workflow optimisations.
Machines per audio track:
SINGLE PLAYER
Play back individual WAV files (mono or stereo) polyphonically. Customise playback behaviour, set loop points and use crossfades for seamless looping – and much more.
MULTI PLAYER
Load a multisampled instrument from the Tonverk library and play it polyphonically. With the Auto Sampler, you can also create your own multisamples.
SUBTRACKS
Expand a track with 8 monophonic, multitimbral subtracks – each with its own sample, sequencer and individual parameters. 8-in-1!
MIDI
Convert the selected track into a MIDI track.
Now new in OS Upgrade 1.3.0:
Wavefinder
A new synth section with two freely mixable wavetable oscillators. You can select, mix, tune, detune and animate waveforms. This creates more lively, dynamic sounds. You can also load your own wavetables, which significantly expands the sonic possibilities.
Subtrack Choking
Subtracks can now instantly mute other subtracks as soon as they start playing. This is particularly useful for rhythmic interplay – for example, with hi-hats – ensuring that sounds follow on from one another cleanly.
Arp Parameter Locks & Randomisation
The arpeggiator can now be used in a more flexible and creative way. Arp settings can now be permanently embedded in sequences using parameter locks, and changes can be recorded during live recording. In addition, the arpeggiator can be randomised to quickly generate new, experimental patterns.
Page Looping
Pages can now be selected and looped individually. This allows you to jump directly to specific pattern pages or repeat individual pages, making arranging and jamming much more fluid.

Alongside these major new features, there are many further improvements, including Prepare Mutes, support for sustain and sostenuto pedals, the ability to save subpages and subtracks, as well as various optimisations and bug fixes.
