The CMS 1000 and CMS 1600 Compact Mixing Systems are top-of-the-range mixing consoles featuring digital effects processors and dual graphic equalisers. Designed as complete solutions, they are ideally suited for driving professional sound reinforcement or powered speaker systems.

DYNACORD’s CMS consoles save a great deal of time during set-up, as there is no need for complicated rack configurations or the fault-prone cabling of multiple individual units. The discrete microphone preamps used in the CMS 1000 and CMS 1600 are characterised by outstanding audio quality combined with extremely low noise and distortion levels, thereby setting new standards in professional mixing technology.

In conjunction with the specially developed gain potentiometers, a control range of 60 dB can be achieved in addition to the ergonomic control response. Group-switchable +48V phantom power, vocal voicing filters, 3-band EQ with semi-parametric midrange, 4 AUX sends, PFL and MUTE, newly developed, dust-protected ALPS faders and the four virtually identically equipped stereo channels with additional microphone inputs are just some of the professional features in the input section. The master outputs and AUX 3+4 provide the signal electronically balanced via XLR sockets. Switching noise is effectively suppressed by relays. The AUX 3+4 buses can be switched separately between pre- and post-fader in the master section. The two feedback filters in the monitor paths, the master standby switch, tape input and the two 7-band graphic equalisers, which can be used either for the master or AUX 3+4, round off the professional features of the master section. Two parallel-operating and independently controllable 24-bit stereo digital effects processors with 48-bit algorithms offer a total of 2 x 99 ‘live-optimised’ studio-quality presets. Conveniently accessible via up/down buttons are room and plate reverb, echo reverb, chorus reverb, mono/stereo delay, modulated delay effects such as chorus or flanger, and a whole range of special effects.

The preferred start presets for both effects units can be saved in programming mode and are immediately available the next time the unit is switched on. The effects can be switched on or off together or individually via a global footswitch or two separate footswitches. A 12V/5W console light can be connected to the short-circuit-proof and overload-protected lamp output. A sturdy housing with a practical metal protective cover allows the unit to be transported easily without the need for an additional flight case.
