Description:

The CMC3 Compact Monitor Controller combines the functional features of Drawmer's three most popular monitor controllers: In addition to the famously accurate and transparent audio quality of the MC2.1, it offers the control options and precision of the MC3.1 in the space-saving, compact design of the CMC2. The controller is equally at home in an ambitious project studio as it is in a professional recording environment.

This makes it all the more important that you can rely on the signal fidelity of your monitor controller at all times. Drawmer monitor controllers do not distort or colour the signal and do not make it warmer or more brilliant: The active circuit design ensures faithful signal reproduction and avoids many of the familiar problems of passive circuit designs. With all Drawmer monitor controllers, this ensures that your recording corresponds exactly to what you hear acoustically.

Accurate and transparent:

Thanks to its lineage from the MC2.1, the CMC3's circuit design is both transparent and accurate. It was developed to avoid the limitations of passive circuits. This includes the ability to raise the level in quiet passages for control purposes without compromising the sound with the artefacts of lower quality active circuits.

Precision:

The CMC3 provides connections for three pairs of stereo monitors and a separate output for a mono speaker/subwoofer. The outputs can be activated individually and simultaneously in any order, which is particularly useful for A/B comparisons. The subwoofer can be operated with several speakers or switched off completely.

The volume control is designed as a specially tuned quad potentiometer for perfect channel balancing and, like the second preset volume control on the front, offers smooth operation. The preset control allows the set monitor volume to be saved so that the sound engineer can listen to the mix later without having to adjust the volume.

Numerous connection options:

The CMC3 is ideally equipped with a total of four stereo inputs: 1x S/PDIF digital input (24 bit/192 kHz), which uses the same DA converter as the established MC3.1 monitor controller, two balanced stereo jack inputs and a 3.5 mm mini-jack input with variable level for smartphones and MP3 players.

In addition, two professional-quality headphone outputs with separate amplifiers and volume controls are provided. These offer the same high quality sound and the ability to check a mix as when using loudspeakers. Talkback is also possible via an integrated or external microphone with its own level control. The signal is output via a dedicated mono output and the headphone sockets.

Extended control options for the mix:

The CMC3's comprehensive mixing control functions include: Dim, mono, phase reversal, cut functions for the left and right channels and a mute button. This allows you to reliably check the quality of your recordings: Immerse yourself in the mixes to discover disturbing background noises, test the stereo effect of your mix, track down phase cancellations and check the stereo difference signal. Functions that many other monitor controllers lack.

Compact:

The compact housing of the CMC3 conceals comprehensive functionality: the flat desktop housing has a height of just 3.5 cm with a footprint of 27 x 16 cm.

Robust and secure:

Despite its compact dimensions, the robust yet attractive steel housing is designed to withstand the rough and tumble of everyday studio life. High-quality technical components have been used to ensure reliable operation of the CMC3 over a long period of time. The controller can also be protected against theft via an opening for a Kensington lock.

Korg Nautilus 88
Manufacturer: Korg
Following in the footsteps of the titans, the KORG NAUTILUS utilises the nine sound engines of the KORG Kronos and guarantees a completely new and very clear operating concept. The simple and elegant design of the new synthesiser guarantees an excellent overview of all areas, quick access to excellent sounds as well as flexible functions and offers maximum ease of use. The sounds of the synthesiser are divided into three important categories and give the instrument an unmistakable character with standard, current and unique sounds. The latest generation of processors gets far more out of the nine advanced sound engines than has ever been possible before. The SGX-2 piano sound engine familiar from the Kronos has been expanded in the NAUTILUS with additional grand piano sounds and, in addition to the customisable adjustment of string resonances and a gradation into 12 different velocity levels, also offers the option of changing the hall acoustics of the respective instrumentof the respective instrument. The SGX-2 and all other sound engines, such as the EP-1 electric piano engine, the CX-3 drawbar engine, the HD-1 PCM engine, the MS-20EX analogue modelling engine, the PolysixEX modelling engine, the AL-1 analogue modelling engine, the MOD-7 VPM/FM sound engine and the STR-1 physical modelling engine as well as all associated parameters can be configured via the 7 large TouchView display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution or via the retractable rotary controls in the control panel. If you ever need help locating the right sound in the instrument, the search and preview function makes it easy to browse through all the sounds, which are based on over 1,770 multisamples. Your own favourite sounds and combinations that you often need can be saved in a favourites list using asterisks. This means you have your favourite sounds to hand in a flash. The NAUTILUS also offers six freely programmable Quick Access buttons, which can take you directly to certain menus or functionsor functions. Four preset settings and four user assignments are available here. A polyphonic arpeggiator with over 1,500 presets, a drum track with over 1,200 patterns and a step sequencer are available in every mode and enhance music-making in combination with the new sounds in a contemporary way. All settings can be perfectly configured for live use, saved and recalled later in set list mode. An indispensable function in live operation. The 16 effect processors and the 3-band EQ for each individual track are also easy to access thanks to the new operating concept. The expressiveness of a sound can also be perfectly adapted to the respective requirements using the separate Dynamics control on the control panel. This allows sounds to be played either very dynamically and elegantly or punchily with less dynamic range in an instant, making them more assertive. The instrument also comes with a download code for an extensive range of free additional software. In addition to KORG software instruments, this package includes the Ozone Elements software from iZotope, Reason Lite DAW software and the Skoove learning software.
