DPA 6388 CORE+
Headset microphone with supercardioid polar pattern
The 6388 combines DPA’s natural and authentic sound with excellent feedback suppression and exceptional speech intelligibility—all in a reliable headset microphone designed for the most demanding live environments.
The DPA 6388 is available in 3 colors (beige, brown, black), 2 sizes (regular, small), and with 4 connectors (MicroLock, 3-pin, TA4F mini-XLR, mini-jack).

Why the 6388?
Based on DPA’s proven CORE+ capsule technology, the 6388 features a supercardioid polar pattern with an offset acoustic axis. This ensures optimal sound pickup at all times, even when the microphone is positioned farther away from the mouth. It also results in more consistent performance across multiple users and more effectively suppresses stage noise and feedback.
Key Benefits
-
Exceptional acoustic performance
The CORE+ driver technology delivers clear and transparent sound, with extremely low distortion and outstanding speech intelligibility, even at high sound pressure levels. -
High gain before feedback
Thanks to the combination of a supercardioid polar pattern and well-controlled off-axis response, the 6388 offers a wider usable dynamic range and greater system stability on stage. -
Flexibility in placement
Depending on your needs, the microphone arm can be positioned either on the left or the right hand side, and the asymmetrical capsule design—with an offset acoustic axis—allows for unobtrusive placement farther away from the mouth without compromising sound quality. -
Durable and easy-to-maintain design
The 6388 is IP58-certified for moisture and dust resistance, and its integrated 90° cable guide reduces cable strain, minimizing cable breaks. The non-reflective PVD finish ensures a discreet appearance on stage and in front of the camera. In addition to its maintenance-friendly design, the 6388’s robust construction—engineered for daily professional use—ensures an exceptionally long product life. -
Easy to use
Equipped with DPA’s popular Act headband, the 6388 is particularly intuitive to use—even for inexperienced users. In addition, thanks to its asymmetrical capsule design with an offset acoustic axis, it is less sensitive to precise placement than conventional directional headsets. This is ideal, for example, when the headset needs to be placed as inconspicuously as possible.

& Conferences
The 6388 is ideal for environments where clear voice transmission and shielding is required—for example, where background noise, reflections, feedback, or crosstalk are a problem.
