The d:facto series provides a true studio sound on the live stage and in the broadcast studio. These microphones are available in an extremely linear version as well as a version with presence boost. The modularity of the d:facto series allows capsule and adapter replacement, making it the most flexible vocal microphone on the market.

d:facto vocal microphones are the ultimate stage microphones - from the cosy club to the largest concert hall.

Just like the traditional supercardioid microphones, the d:facto series impresses with high lateral and rear sound suppression with at least 9 dB attenuation to the side. However, it is not bound by the less desirable aspects of the supercardioid, such as the difficult to control and non-linear rear lobe, which can create feedback from stage monitors when a sudden high frequency peak to the rear of the microphone occurs.

The d:facto series has a wider pickup angle at the front of the microphone than most supercardioids. The pick-up angle is identical to a first-order cardioid in the off-centre range of ±60 degrees, producing the same sound field as a cardioid - but with extremely high and even attenuation at the sides and rear.

Wired or wireless? - The choice is yours.

You can use the d:facto vocal microphone as a wired version with a slim, state-of-the-art d:facto handle or you can use the d:facto capsule together with your favourite wireless system. And if you prefer wireless, simply switch to a wireless adapter at a quarter of the cost of a new microphone. If conditions change, simply swap out your adapter instead of buying a whole new microphone. And after the switch, you won't notice any loss or change in sound quality.

The d:facto handheld microphones are compatible with all leading wireless microphone solutions, such as Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Wisycom, Lectrosonics and Line6. The sophisticated adapter system from DPA Microphones is unique in the industry. It protects your investment in fantastic sound for years to come.
