The directivity quality and attention to detail make the MMC4011 cardioid microphone capsule a solution that makes everything sound like the original. The first-order cardioid polar pattern ensures excellent separation of sound sources. It is just as suitable for close-up recordings of acoustic guitar, piano, overheads, percussion, wind instruments and vocals as it is for symphonic support miking. It is designed for incredibly high sound pressure levels.


A linear on-axis frequency response and excellent phase response ensure faithful reproduction of the original sound. The off-axis frequency response is similarly homogeneous and interferences are reproduced accurately and attenuated in accordance with the first-order cardioid characteristic.
