The d:dicate 2011 dual-diaphragm cardioid microphone is a directional microphone. The unmistakable sound of this microphone is well balanced. This condenser microphone bridges the gap between the exceptional sound quality of our d:dicate recording microphone series and our well-known d:screet miniature microphones.
Two miniature capsules facing each other are used in this microphone. Arranged as a double diaphragm, they form a capsule unit. This combines the advantages of small capsules with the lower inherent noise of a larger diaphragm surface. These capsules offer a fast impulse response and a wide frequency bandwidth. The capsules are combined with the preamplifiers of the outstanding d:dicate microphone series, which gives the sound more airiness and precision.
