With ARC Studio+, IK Multimedia has expanded the tried-and-tested ARC Studio concept into a comprehensive monitoring hub for modern stereo and 2.1 systems. The room correction continues to operate directly within the hardware, independently of the DAW and operating system, but can now be set up much more quickly and integrated more flexibly into professional setups.
For mobile or changing working environments, ARC Studio+ offers standalone single-point calibration without the need for a computer or separate audio interface. The supplied measurement microphone is connected directly to the unit, and the automatic measurement is started via the calibration button. For permanently installed studios, ARC X enables precise multi-point measurements with 1, 3, 7 or 21 positions.
Another new feature is the integrated subwoofer management. A dedicated output handles automatic detection and signal routing, as well as the adjustment of phase, level, crossover frequency and filter slopes. Three complete configurations can be stored in the unit and accessed directly via the front-panel buttons.
ARC Studio+ is available as a complete package including the ARC MEMS measurement microphone. For existing customers and users of compatible iLoud monitors who already own a suitable measurement microphone, the ARC Studio+ Upgrade is available, featuring identical hardware and functionality but without the measurement microphone.
