About Dave Weckl
Dave Weckl has been one of the most influential drummers in the world of jazz and fusion for many years. With his unmistakable style and extraordinary musical sensitivity, he is in demand internationally and has performed on stages around the world with artists such as Chick Corea and Mike Stern throughout his career.
Weckl's worldwide breakthrough came in the 1980s as a member of the Chick Corea Elektric Band, where he played a key role in shaping the contemporary fusion sound. His playing combined technical brilliance with musical depth and set new standards for modern drumming. In addition, he has released numerous productions of his own, which impressively reflect his versatility and artistic signature.
Dave Weckl is currently on tour with the Dave Weckl / Tom Kennedy Project, among others, presenting a dynamic, modern form of jazz fusion that combines experience, creativity, and joy of playing at the highest level.
