The XS 80/20 Bronze strings have the longest lifespan of any of D’Addario’s coated acoustic strings and produce the brightest sound. The ultra-thin XS film coating prevents fraying or flaking, whilst allowing the strings to deliver their full sound.
The 80/20 winding wire produces a powerful, brilliant acoustic tone with clear projection that can fill a room.
The NY Steel core and Fusion Twist technology provide greater tensile strength and unrivalled tuning stability, meaning 80/20 Bronze strings stay in tune 131 per cent better than other acoustic strings.
If you register the code on the packaging of the XS 80/20 Bronze strings, you can earn Players Circle points.
The XS-coated acoustic strings are manufactured in the USA – at our factory in New York, in accordance with our strict quality standards.
The 80/20 Bronze are our most brilliant acoustic guitar strings, producing an unrivalled clear tone. Thanks to our revolutionary XS coating, our robust, bright 80/20 strings last exceptionally long and offer an unusually smooth playing feel. The strings consist of a NY Steel core and an 80/20 bronze winding. Fusion Twist technology not only gives them a significantly longer lifespan but also provides unrivalled break resistance and tuning stability compared to standard 80/20 strings. This ‘11-52 Custom Light’ gauge set produces slightly more volume and projection than the Extra Light strings, yet remains easy to play.
The XS series breathes new life into coated strings. With an ultra-thin film coating on every wound string and a unique polymer treatment on the solid steel strings, the XS series offers our highest level of protection for maximum lifespan, combined with an exceptionally smooth playing feel. The XS strings consist of a core made from NY Steel – steel from New York – with a high carbon content, as well as a solid steel winding. And our exclusive Fusion Twist technology offers unrivalled break resistance and tuning stability. The XS is the most innovative coated string ever developed.
